It’s not only our front-line colleagues visiting patients who work 24/7 rotas, but also our vitally important operational support services, such as our 999 Call Handlers, Ambulance Dispatchers, and the teams that keep our vehicles and equipment in top condition and ready for use, including Vehicle Preparation Operatives and Vehicle Technicians.

Work Schedules
Standard working patterns for front-line colleagues include:
Full time – 37.5 hours per week (24/7 rotating working pattern, including night, evening, and weekend working)
Part time – 18.75 hours per week (24/7 rotating working pattern, night, evening, and weekend working)
Other working patterns may be considered however unsocial hours may be a requirement, and our priority remains to ensure a safe and effective service for our patients.
Varied Working Hours
In order to support our patients you will need to be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays. Our colleagues work a variety of different shift lengths between 8 and 12 hours in length.
This includes a wide variety of different shift times with shifts starting anywhere between 05:45 and 21:00. Shift patterns vary and run over different lengths, and will include some element of relief working where you are scheduled to cover absences and other vacant shifts.
